Continued: Now my best is too give it all I have and it changes as the weeks went on. My fears were that I was gonna waste my money, not see results, not have time etc. it was all superficial fears. My goal was to lose weight and I did! My goals were not at all spiritually related but after the first week my goal became to do this because I want to live long to preach the gospel and the only way to do that is be healthy.
C- What program did you select and did it challenge you?
Steph-I chose the 21 day fix because I wanted to focus on my nutrition. Something that I've never done. I always tried to outrun my bad diet but not anymore!
C-What were scale/non scale victories you've experienced?
Steph- I have lost 8lbs so far. I still have a week to ago and anticipate to lose another 3-4. I haven't measured myself yet. Waiting to do that next week. My nonscale victories is that I am able to go through the 30 minutes without stopping. I can finally do a push-up and I can go deeper with my squats. I'm able to control my cravings and not indulge during a cheat meal. Im proud of my self for not indulging with cheat meals.
C-What was 1 way you grew spiritually during this journey?
Steph-I learned that I can't bully myself into being fit. I have to love myself the same way Jesus loves me. Through that love I will love to see my body do more.
C-Do you find this lifestyle realistic to maintain?
Steph-at first I didn't but it is totally realistic. I gotta stay on top of my meal prep.
C-Would you recommend a challenge group like this to a friend/family member?
Steph-I absolutely would! I've been telling my friends and my mom purchased shakeology and has been doing it with me.
