I am absolutely loving the 22 minute hard corps program but I am noticing that while being 16 weeks pregnant, I can't do the moves as fast as they do! So to protect my form I have been taking out the TRX and focusing on control rather than speed. 2 videos and 2 moves:
1. Push up--In the program they do 25 reps, 20, and then 15 (in different rounds) and since it's bootcamp style, they go decently quick! To protect my form and my baby I used the TRX and don't be fooled, it was still challenging!
2. High Row--Here in the program they are doing pull ups but I do not have a pull up bar! Usually I use resistance bands to do band pull downs but I decided I could still target my back well using the TRX :)
I have been making sure my meals are filled with lean proteins, good fats, lots of veggies, fruit, and complex carbs! These nutrients make it easier to curb cravings and stay on track as much as I can. It doesn't mean I eat healthy 100% of the time (last Saturday I enjoyed steak fries and greek pizza!) but I aim to nail my nutrition 80% of the week!
I have hard a million and one rules about fish and pregnancy and I've made the decision to keep eating salmon once every 2 weeks (I don't buy it a lot naturally) and tuna maybe once every two weeks too. I mix tuna with mashed up avocado and lemon juice and it's so good! Or hummus!
As I sat in the warm sun the other day I began to reflect on how importance it is to STOP.
💕BREATHE-Take things one moment at a time and be present in each moment. Be grateful for each breath you take!
💕HYDRATE-Not just your body with water (very important!) but your soul too! GOD is THE living water. Find fullness in HIM.
💕MOVE-I think I do this one too well 😁 for me it's pushing play with my home workouts and getting a good sweat in but it's also about being in nature and the outdoors...moving my body in a way that is also relaxing and allows reflection!
💕NOURISH-just like hydrate there is body nourishment and soul nourishment. Fuel your body with the nutrients it actually craves (lean protein, complex carbs, veggies, good fats, vitamins &minerals). Thankfully my superfood shake has my back on this one but every meal is a decision to either fuel my body properly or not.
💕LOVE- Just...love. If we first received the deep love God has for us it will allow us to love ourselves and the people around us WELL.
To make it matter even more, now I do all those things for me AND my little one growing inside me!
Final fun fact... I really think this baby is playing tricks on me. I've been a vegan chocolate shakeology fan for over a year! And what do I do?? I GET GREENBERRY FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 😂 when Graham saw my order he was very confused. I don't part with chocolate. But it happened. And it was good. #noshame
Questions for YOU:
1. What was something you craved when you were pregnant that you did not like before pregnancy??
2. Would you be interested in knowing how I was able to leave my full time job and pursue a ministry&business that allowed me to take my passion for fitness and allow it to grow an income while working from home?
