Man I have LOVED this 21 day bootcamp we just finished. The workouts got harder + longer each week (it's only 3 weeks though) and the nutrition plan changed too! I have enjoyed it so much that I am doing a second round starting August 21 and am looking for ladies ready to get healthy + strong from the INSIDE out with me! No starvation, friends. It's all about moving our bodies, eating well, loving on each other, and changing on the inside too because that's the whole point! SO let me give you a quick snap shot of this home workout program:
Before photos went down and I was so excited to actually commit to a nutrition plan from start to finish. YUP. This girl has never ever done it. I can commit to the workouts from start to finish no problem but I ALWAYS slack on nutrition. Not this time. I was determined, and I had 30+ other women holding me accountable !!
WORKOUTS: You alternate between a cardio day + strength day and the workouts are 25 min each. A couple of times you add a 10 min ab workout too.
NUTRITION: All is normal the first week. We count colors not calories so based on your weight, activity level, etc. you find out which container bracket you fall into. You get X amount of containers for carbs, proteins, veggies, fruits, fats, etc.
Feeling strong and ready to amp up the workouts and stay committed. The weekends are always a challenge but one thing I learned is that Chipotle is a GREAT place to stick to go if you just don't want to cook but want to stay on track on the meal plan! You can tailor it easily.
WORKOUTS: We are still alternating between cardio + strength but now they are 35 min! I LOVED these routines even more than week 2!
NUTRITION: BOOM. One carb is taken away. So I usually get 2 containers of yellow (carbs) but it decreases by one. I didn't miss it or even notice it all that much! You get unlimited veggies on this plan which helps if you do ever get extra hungry!
THAT SMILE IS REAL! Guys these workouts are pushing the crap out of me in the best way. It's pushing me to pray, lean on my spirit when my flesh is tired, and get out of my head + comfort zone. Now more than ever I am so thankful for my clean pre-workout juice because I don't know how else I could get through 45 min workouts with ENERGY and FOCUS!
WORKOUTS: We are still alternating between cardio + strength but now they are 45 min! They just keep getting better! Strength is one of my favorites here !!! They are long but time went by fast!
NUTRITION: Bye bye carbs. YUP! None for the week. BUT, you do get more protein, veggies, and good fats so you're not deprived at all. Dare I say, I didn't miss carbs AT ALL! Who am I ?!
21 DAY RESULTS!
Okay. Sooooo...I was excited to share my results but after seeing all the women in our groups results I am now LOSING IT with excitement !! And let me say that their victories weren't just scale ones! Hearing victories like:
"I've lost 11 lbs, and about an inch in all areas that I measured!! And non scale Victories are that when I'm looking at myself I am starting to love myself more, I talk better to myself. "
"I've lost 12 pounds, and it's just the beginning! I find this is very maintainable and has way more flexibility and less guilt than previous times I've tried getting back into fitness. "
"I lost 9 lbs total! Really realized how much of a privilege it is to get to take care of my body."
"Starting my day with prayer or devos helped my whole day...and mentally I was challenged just to not focus on food and realizing how much I tend to do that throughout the day! "
I am just so humbled that I have the opportunity EVERY DAY to link arms with others and truly teach them how they can take care of EVERY part of who they are so they can fulfill there calling with no reservations or limit.
Personally I am proud of myself because I have NEVER completed a program from start to finish NUTRITION wise. Funny story, I gained 2 pounds. Even funnier, I SMILED because I wanted muscle gain, more strength, more endurance, and a shift in my mind. I got all three. I am SO stinking excited to do another round starting August 21 and I have a spot with your name on it. HEADS UP: sign ups close THIS Tuesday. No time to waste.
