Yoooo, anyone struggling big time with self-control at buffets?? I remember first moving to the USA and my parents falling in love the with American Buffets. We would go up SO many times and pick the most unhealthy items like fried food, pizza, ice cream, cake, you name it! YES that used to be me!
I usually avoid buffets for the most part but my husband LOVES Japanese buffets specifically because....sushi ;) I don't blame him either! I enjoy sushi too. The good thing about Japanese buffets is that they do have healthier options like a hibachi stir fry station, grilled items, and sushi which has healthy options too. Here are my plates from the weekend !
My goal is to fill my first plate with as much protein and veggies as I can. Second plate will have the same and a few FUN treat like items within the right portions. As you can see, I actually wasn't in the mood for a lot of treats yesterday...I was satisfied after these two plates.
You crave what you eat, friends. The more you eat healthy, nutrient dense foods, the more you will find yourself craving that. I genuinely didn't crave the fried food because it's rarely something I eat anyway! It takes 21 days to break a habit and 21 days to make a new one. Start now by committing to whole+real food and watch your taste buds change !!
Though I am a certified personal trainer through AFAA, I am not a nutritionist. Any food posts on this blog are simply related to my journey!
