Little man made his appearance on 9/26 at 10:41pm! My L&D story is not what I ever thought it would be. I did go on LIVE on www.facebook.com/carenscorner and shared more about this if you want to search for the video! Obviously since having Luca, I have not been focusing on any workouts until my body fully recovers. With that said, the doctors were surprised at my level of recovery. Within just 3 days I was back to walking and doing my normal activities with minimal pain. Honestly the most pain I am in is usually when I have to use the bathroom.
Fun fact: The hospital discharged me with all these stool softener pills but I decided to just see if hydrating my body and Shakeology would do the trick since Shakeology is what has kept me so regular for 2 years. It worked! Within just a day I am back to pooping 2-3 times per day (TMI I know but for real...how awesome is that?) and my energy is back! I have always respected Shakeology but seriously with every new season I am in, it just surprises me more and more.
My nutrition plan is simply this: eat eat eat. My milk supply is in with no issues and so to maintain it I am just focusing on eating well and eating enough. My workout plan? Walk & breastfeed. Even though my body is probably 90% recovered, I don't feel comfortable doing anything yet that utilizes my core. I am planning to start some light upper body exercises next week with 5 pound weights since I feel pretty confident doing that with no pain and not jeopardizing anything with my recovery.
the K'tan sling has been my hero! Not only does it allow me to work my home based fitness business but I can do it while cuddling my little guy, which is probably my favorite thing!!
This image ^^ is at 1 week PP. Our bodies are seriously amazing. I can't believe how well the recovery is going. I truly believe it's by God's grace and ensuring I was fit and active the whole pregnancy. It's helping my body bounce back a lot more easily! Friends, if you can prioritize your health while pregnant and even when you are thinking about being pregnant some day. I PROMISE it makes a difference in more ways than one!
I am already reserving spots for my next faith & fitness challenge group that kicks off November 14! It's never too early to chat with me about it and see if it's a good fit for you: email@example.com
Though I am a certified personal trainer through AFAA, I am not a nutritionist. Any food posts on this blog are simply related to my journey!
