Graham and I have been cutting back on eating out (we usually do 1-2 times per week) as we work toward saving for our big move and our little one! With that said, sometimes on a Saturday we are out and hungry and eating out is the only option! Since we are both committed to the 22 Minute Hard Corps workout program we wanted to eat somewhere were we wouldn't derail all our hard work (see one of our favorite moves from the program below and then I share with you my top tips for eating out!
I try to make sure my food is 70-80% veggies with some good protein and good carbs. In the case above, I had a bowl filled with beets, carrots, stir fry veggie (pepper and onion), roasted mushrooms, and some squash. The bottom had quinoa and lean grass fed steak! I couldn't eat the whole bowl but I felt so satisfied and light after! Eating the rainbow might be phrase you hear a lot but the more you are consuming foods with lots of colors the more you can predict you are getting lots of good nutrients into your body!
