This morning in our private fitness community I asked my clients to share their "throwback" Thursday. What did life look like before they committed to their wellness journey? This is mine.
👉🏽I was stopping at a fast food drive thru 3-4 times a week.
👉🏽I ran to food to self-medicate all kinds of emotions.
👉🏽I had very poor body image and couldnt love myself.
👉🏽I was working out 2 hours a day as punishment + it was a chore.
👉🏽I avoided social gatherings because I was afraid to overeat.
👉🏽I hadn't given God the pen to my health chapter--CLEARLY.
🔅NOW (by the Grace of God alone)
👉🏽I see food as fuel...not a reward or a way to fix things.
👉🏽I have learned to love every part of me and my body through all kinds of seasons like pregnancy and during my postpartum journey.
👉🏽I workout 30-45 min a day depending on the program and I look forward to it. Never feels like a punishment.
👉🏽I don't hide from people or do things in secret. I share my weaknesses and pray God uses them to glorify Himself.
👉🏽Grace is OVER guilt.
👉🏽Progress is my focus not perfection.
👉🏽God has the pen to my entire story.
All that to say, God is so good and He is always in the business of making people UNbroken. Give HIM the pen.
Though I am a certified personal trainer through AFAA, I am not a nutritionist. Any food posts on this blog are simply related to my journey!
