This prego has been living off of carbs! Hahaha. Real life you guys. Last week I feel like my whole week was out of balance. It was hard to fit veggies in (thankful that Shakeology at least gives me some), and protein was no easier. I did my best but I just wanted thin pasta and bagels. Those two things specifically. I am confident #gingyptian is growing because I usually don't have intense desires like this! So I used a couple tricks to at least enjoy some carbs without completely feeling like poo. Introducing: the small plate trick. I have a few "mini bowls" in my house which I use when I want something that may not be the best for me but can keep it in moderation. Granted the containers I use to measure my food (21 day fix containers) are helpful but I don't exactly want to eat out of them. So in a smaller bowl the food looks like it's just so much! Then I am usually pretty satisfied after and can move on.
This has been my FAVORITE way of getting veggies in. I don't want them hot (mainly because it's too hot outside) and I don't want them plain. So, hummus makes a great companion to cold crisp vegetables! I also did a live video on Facebook where I shared my famous cucumber boats where you slice the cucumber vertically, scoop out the center, add some laughing cow cheese and top with some deli turkey. That has been so refreshing and filling for me too!
You all know that I run these groups every single month. The next one kicks off 9/5 and it happens to be the Beachbody Health Bet! Details below:
