Say hello to my pre-workout meal! Before pregnancy I was able to get up at 5 and workout on an empty stomach with no issues and high energy (thanks Energize). Now, however, it seems I only get slightly queasy when I am hungry! Half a sandwich thin with Teddie's PB and drizzle of organic honey seems to do the trick and then I am ready to workout in 30 minutes :)
I wanted to show you guys the ab modifications I do specifically in Insanity Max30 since I can't be on my back while pregnant! Here's my little video :)
I really do enjoy finding new ways to keep my body strong and flexible while pregnant! Instead of feeling defeated that I can't follow along, I've decided to just get creative!
I feel like our little #gingyptian has grown a lot in this last week! I wore a tight shirt for the first time (80% of my clothes are flown) and really noticed my belly! I love it! I am also officially bumping into things now--opening silverware drawer, hugging Graham, whatever it might be...my belly hits it).
Left: We are not always excited to workout...it sometimes takes 30 minutes of motivating each other.
Right: Motivation & accountability goes a long way! It really does help to plug yourself in a community where others will push you which is why I love running these fitness challenge groups every month! We are stronger together.
We are finally back in PA after 5 weeks of travel and I couldn't wait to do what I LOVE to do...MEAL PREP! It used to overwhelm me but after repeating it for so long I am able to get it done in an hour and prepare the basics of what my meals will include throughout the week! Pictured are some of the items:
--Stir Fried Chicken
--Baked Sweet Potato
--Black Beans (I use cumin, salt, pepper, curry powder, and a dash of balsamic vinegar to flavor mine)
--Brown Rice w/ Quinoa
Not pictured: bought a whole watermelon and diced it up, diced up all veggies for salads, made lemon poppyseed bread for small desserts :)
