Friend, things are going to wrong in our lives...a LOT and they can either scar us or shape us. We decide. God finds us in our failures and our successes and teaches us to think about things in a new way. Are we more afraid at failing at things that really matter to us or succeeding at the things that DON'T matter? I have always loved this question by both Francis Chan + Bob Goff. These questions make me stop and think. What are the things that DO matter? For me, it is my personal relationship with Jesus, receiving the highest praise from my family not social media, and honoring God with my business, trusting His timing and His pace as this business isn't just to help people get healthy externally, but also revive souls.
I am not afraid to fail. As I have shared here before, I have come to see failure as my friend. It makes me better. You know, I used to also hate stress. But I am finding that stress reveals what really matters to me. So now, instead of being stressed out about being stressed out, I simply see stress as my body responding to something that matters to me and what I DO with it is what counts. I am learning to surrender it to Jesus and just say, "this matters to me and I know it matters to you too. I trust it most in YOUR hands not mine. Take it."
I am so excited for this season of trials and failure that I am in to produce the perseverance, character, and hope that is ultimately JESUS. That's my desire. I will not run or avoid it. I will not try to "rush the lesson." I will let this marinate in my spirit and give God room to make me more like Him. Will you?
