Vulnerability post: I thought that taking this mini hiatus from work as we prepare to move and having more time to spend with the Lord would mean I would...spend more time with the Lord! Nope. So let me tell you something, if you feel like you barely have time to spend with Jesus because you have to go to work, be with your kids, etc. having more time doesn't always mean you will use it wisely. I am finding that I can be easily distracted and that it really comes down to the quality of my time with God not the quantity. SO...whether you have 10 minutes or 1 hour, it's about how you allow His Word to move in upon you, within you, and through you. Each moment with the Lord can bring power, joy, strength, encouragement, and peace if you allow it to transform you from the inside out! So never determine your worth as a Christian by how much time you spend with Him; it's about how much you allow His Word come to life in your life. Lately He has been calling me out on my measure of faith. We (my husband and I) are entering a new exciting but scary chapter and I've caught myself worrying, planning, and trying to handle things "Caren Style." Yesterday I felt His gentle voice simply saying, "Why are you afraid? Just keep looking at me...not yourself."
BUT, more on that later ;) Stay tuned.
A Bit About ME!
Hey friend! My name is Caren and I am so glad you stopped by! This blog is a bit of my corner on the internet where I share honest thoughts about my faith journey, fitness journey, doctor wife journey, and motherhood journey. ALL of it! The good bad and ugly! I pray that something I share encourages you today!
