Now, this may not be a biblical quote but it certainly made me stop and think. How true it is that when we are living in any place but the present, our lives are foggy, stressful, filled with insecurity, doubt, and fear. I tend to be more of the living in the future kind. The best part is that I CAN tie this to scripture. Ready?
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
^Seek FIRST God's kingdom, invite Him into the very moments of your day. God is always there, He doesn't take naps, He doesn't get hungry or tired, He is ALWAYS present and He ALWAYS knows what you need when you need it. He said He will meet our daily needs daily. Maybe you're living pay check to pay check, but you know something, that is an opportunity to completely rely on God each day, trusting in His provision.
Where are you living? Are you living in the past, future, or are you embracing the present?
