This is the theme of the free 5 day Rise & Shine challenge I am running next week and am beyond excited for all the women who said YES to this. Slowing down is not a strength of mine. Never has been. In God's loving wisdom as my Father, He has had to allow things in my life that essentially force me to slow down: a fractured heel, pregnancy, becoming a stay at home mom who runs a business from home, moving to a state that just moves at a slower pace, an unexpected c-section, etc. Even in my workouts I hated slowing down. I didn't take time to stretch and never got the point of yoga. Lately though, I have started to understand it. It was a revelation honestly.Following all my workouts now, I take 10 minutes to stretch. Every night before bed, I do 10-15 minute of yoga. When I wake up, I keep all electronics off for the first 2 hours so I can take everything at a slower pace because let's be real, technology can rush us.
