I know my posts on this blog have been a bit infrequent as my presence is more consistent on Instagram and Facebook! I do want to share how things have been lately though.
I am continuing to rise up around 5am to spend time with Jesus before my business hour & workout. I am reading the Bible from start to finish and currently camped out in Exodus with Moses. I often read this section and just admire the friendship He and God had. God listened to Moses and considered his suggestions. How amazing is that? We don't serve a God who obliterates and refuses to consider our prayers. We serve and are loved by a God who HEARS us and wants to give us the desires of our hearts. As we draw close to Him, we find that HIs desires and our desires begin to align.
I know that Moses and God had such a close relationship because Moses consistently checked in with God. God's presence was always with Him.
Sometimes I feel very far from God. Then I think that God must have moved. Reality is though, I am always the one who is moving. God doesn't move. So when I feel a bit more dry, have a little less joy, or am quick to complain...it is evidence of the true condition of my heart. I need to remain in God's presence so I don't get caught up in daily circumstances.
What about you? Can you relate to this? How do you remain aware of God's presence throughout the day?
