Do you play it safe? Financially? Physically? Relationally? Let's talk about the financial aspect for a moment. We are blessed to be a blessing. Random act of financial generosity is one of the priorities on our family vision board this year. To be honest, we had always committed to tithing because we really do believe that everything we have is God’s. In the last 4 months, though, God has been blessing our home business and there was the opportunity to step out even deeper. I felt God say “when you’re faithful with the little, I will give you more…but then there is a greater responsibility with that too.” The more we are blessed the more we are to be a blessing. That’s just truth.
We always wait on God to provide the opportunity and he did for February! This morning I am so excited to be supporting one of my sweet friends, Raisa. She has such a beautiful heart and it is always grounded in OTHERS. This March she is heading out for Honduras, specifically, a severely impoverished neighborhood in Cofradia. The funds raised will be used solely to fill more than 150 backpacks with school supplies for the children in this community. The school year just began in Honduras at the beginning of February-- unfortunately, the kids in this small neighborhood are in serious need of supplies to be ready for learning!
You know what’s wild? She said to me “I don’t need the money to travel because I am paying for my own flight, hotel, transportation and food…this fundraiser money is JUST of the backpacks and school supplies for the kids.”
Seriously, ya’ll…if you feel the tug on your heart to step out and give of your finances…what a beautiful opportunity to do so! To support Raisa and her mission to provide backpacks an school supplies for those children click here! Love watching God use you sister!
