This has probably been one of my favorite interviews because it was an example of #reallife. This will look very different from previous spotlights but I LOVE it! When asking Chris to answer the interview questions, he was honest in sharing the difficulty in prioritizing time, and that was exactly what I wanted him to talk about...Check out Chris's story:
Chris: My wife is my inspiration when it comes to that. She is experiencing things in her walk that give me goosebumps! My wife was put in my life to strengthen me and it's time I set aside all the distractions to strengthen her right back. God has been doing so many great things in our lives that I'm trying not to miss. We, now, live in Quincy, MA, bordering my alma matar where we both work. That was a prayer answered in a time frame where I would call it a miracle. We are getting ourselves out of debt and are in a place where we can give generously. That was a dream come true. I say this because those things didn't come easy. There were a lot of dark times, nightmares, tears, bitterness. But I've learned that Jesus shines brightest when your world is its darkest. John 8:12 says "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” I challenge you to walk in the light. Stay in God's presence. Work hard, but give Him ALL the glory. Enjoy some moments without documenting them. Love and love again. Selah.
C: I don't know about you guys but I can relate to Chris! It gets easy to become wrapped up in GOOD and GODLY things that we MISS having an intimate relationship with Christ Himself. I know I appreciated the reminder that I need to constantly take the time to assess where I am and where God's calling me to be. Be blessed, friends.
